LeRette Funeral Chapel Now Open in New Facility

Brian and Dawn LeRette have officially opened the doors to their new funeral chapel facility at 525 East Ratliff Road in Red Oak. After two years of challenges following the devastating fire in September 2023, the couple shares their excitement to serve families in a new, modern space.

“This has been a survival journey,” Dawn said. “But today was our first official full day completely functional in our new facility—and it feels great.”

The state-of-the-art building includes a spacious chapel, a fellowship/community room, improved traffic flow for large visitations, and modern audio-visual and livestreaming capabilities. Families will now be able to host services and luncheons all under one roof.

The new building also carries a piece of history. Bricks salvaged from the former Sixth Street funeral home—lost in the fire—were ground and used in the foundation of the new facility. “Our new building literally sits on the foundation of the old building,” Brian noted. “It’s symbolic of the tradition of service continuing forward.”

To thank the community for its unwavering support, they are hosting a Grand Opening and Community Celebration on Sunday, September 28, from 4–6 p.m. The event will include grilled food provided by the Mills/Montgomery County Cattlemen, live entertainment, building tours, and door prizes.

“This is our way of saying thank you,” Dawn said. “The community has stood by us through everything, and now we want to celebrate this new chapter together.”
