Groundbreaking Set for Hugh and Maxine Loudon Business Park in Clarinda
A groundbreaking and dedication ceremony for the Hugh and Maxine Loudon Business Park is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, at 10 a.m. in Clarinda.
The ceremony will take place at the site near 7th and Garfield Street. Parking will be available near the horse building at the fairgrounds, with attendees able to walk across the street to the ceremony location.
Aimee McQueen, Executive Director of the Clarinda Economic Development Corporation, said the business park is one of the most significant economic development projects currently underway in the community.
The site includes approximately 60 acres donated by the Loudon family, with about 55 acres considered developable. McQueen said the donation is a remarkable gift to Clarinda and reflects the Loudon family’s long-standing commitment to the community.
McQueen said some acres are already under purchase agreement, though details are not yet ready to be announced.
