ATLANTIC — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding three recent arrests involving drug, traffic and domestic assault charges.
On Saturday, July 18, deputies arrested 53-year-old Shari Ann Comstock of Omaha, Nebraska, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving while barred. Comstock was transported to the Cass County Jail, where she was booked and later released following a guilty plea.
The release also reports the arrest of 28-year-old Dixon William Harley Briggs of Red Oak on charges of domestic assault with intent, first offense; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Briggs was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and held. The release lists the arrest date as July 28, although the report was issued July 23, indicating the date may be a typographical error.
On Tuesday, July 21, deputies arrested 28-year-old Julio Cesa Harnadez Cervantes of Omaha, Nebraska, on charges of operating while intoxicated, first offense, and driving while his license was denied or revoked. Cervantes was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and later released on bond.
All criminal charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
