ATLANTIC, Iowa — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest information covering August 17, 2026, through August 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

All criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in the court of law.

On August 19, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sarah Jo Porter, 30, of Cumberland on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Porter was transported to the Cass County Jail, where she was booked and released on bond.

On August 19, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Boston Lee Shupe, 25, of Anita on an open Cass County warrant for failure to appear, and possession of marijuana – 3rd. Boston was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and released on bond.

On August 20, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joseph Atoliph, 27, of Atlantic on the charges of driving with a denied/revoked license and OWI – 2nd offense. Atoliph was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and released on his own recognizance.

On August 21, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Craig Allen Lang, 64, of Atlantic on the charge of public intoxication. Lang was booked into the Cass County Jail, where he was held.

On August 23, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Micheal Nolan Tisdale, 53, of Atlantic on the charge of OWI – 1st. Tisdale was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and released on an unsecured bond.

On August 24, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Connie Marie Nichols, 62, of Atlantic on the charges of drug tax stamp violation and drug trafficking 5gm–100kg methamphetamine. Nichols was transported to the Cass County Jail, where she was booked and held.

On August 25, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dixon William Harley Briggs, 28, of Red Oak on the charge of violation of a no contact order. Briggs was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and held.

On August 25, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ashley Nicole King, 33, of Elliot on the charge of violation of a no contact order. King was transported to the Cass County Jail, where she was booked and held.

On August 27, 2026, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jesse Lee Simmons, 54, of Atlantic on the charge of interference with official acts. Simmons was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and released on bond
