Griswold Community Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs joined KCSI/KOAK to share updates from the most recent school board meeting, including staffing items, the district’s ongoing exploration of a four-day school week, early details on a proposed school-based agricultural learning facility, and where things stand with the district budget as state lawmakers continue working on school funding.

Upcoming dates and reminders
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences: Monday, Feb. 23 and Thursday, Feb. 26 (3:30–7:30 p.m.)
    • Two-hour early outs both days
  • No School: Friday, Feb. 27
  • Read Across America Week: week of March 2 (read-alouds, flashlight reading, pajama/snack reading)
  • Blood Drive: March 6 (student council sponsored)
  • Radon testing: Completed during the week of Feb. 2; results were well below the EPA action level.
