Inman Elementary update: conferences, Sound of Music, Read Across America, and construction traffic changes ahead

  • Parent-teacher conferences: strong turnout; teachers still contacting families who missed (only conference window this year).
  • The Sound of Music: performances this week; community encouraged to attend and support students.
  • Read Across America Week: next week; dress-up days and reading-themed activities.
  • New partnership: Title teachers + PTO + Red Oak Grand Theatre movie night during Read Across America Week (announcement coming later today).
  • Reading recommendation: 4 times per week for 15 minutes for significant learning impact.
  • Construction project: expected to start early March; expands lunchroom and creates secure entry to office.
  • Traffic changes coming: partial parking lot closure, temporary main entrance relocation, pickup/drop-off adjustments (K–3 stay on Inman Drive; buses use west circle drive).
  • Construction note: designed to minimize disruption to student learning; internal work mainly after school ends.
  • Remote learning reminder: Friday packets must be turned in today; it counts as a school day.
