RED OAK, Iowa — Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 43-year-old Elliott man early Thursday morning following a traffic stop on Highway 71.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the stop occurred around 12:01 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the 2500 block of Highway 71.
Deputies took 43-year-old Quintin John Perdue of Elliott, Iowa, into custody. Perdue was arrested on an active Pottawattamie County warrant for violation of parole. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, first offense, stemming from the traffic stop.
Perdue was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is being held on no bond.
