Montgomery County deputies arrest Grimes man on Johnston warrant
RED OAK — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports a Grimes man was arrested in Red Oak Tuesday evening on an out-of-county warrant.
Deputies say that on February 24, 2026, at around 6:19 p.m., they arrested 23-year-old Devon James Jackson of Grimes in the 800 block of Senate Avenue in Red Oak. The sheriff’s office said Jackson was wanted on an active warrant issued by the Johnston Police Department for Sex Abuse, 3rd Degree (listed as a first offense).
Jackson was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Authorities said he was being held with no bond listed at the time of the report.
