The Montgomery County Family YMCA is seeing renewed energy and growth just weeks into Adam Graybill’s tenure as executive director.
Graybill, now about six weeks into the role, says community engagement has been a top priority—and early results are promising. A recent Healthy Kids Day event drew more than 225 attendees, a significant jump from roughly 15 participants the previous year.
Graybill credits that success to listening to community feedback and making the YMCA more welcoming and visible.
“We’re hearing what people want, and we’re following through,” Graybill said.
Upcoming Events and Activities
The YMCA is continuing to build momentum with several upcoming events:
- Plant Bingo is scheduled for May 1, combining traditional bingo with a seed swap and community gathering.
- The Stars and Stripes Scramble Golf Tournament will take place June 6 at the Red Oak Country Club, featuring team play, sponsorship opportunities, and prizes including a $10,000 hole-in-one.
