Red Oak Firefighter/EMT Hire
Council also unanimously approved the full-time hiring of Logan Evans as a firefighter/EMT. A previous candidate selected for the position was unable to accept because of personal circumstances. Evans, a former full-time employee who had been working part-time while completing paramedic training, started immediately.
“He has stayed a part-time employee the whole time… so not a big transition for the crew,” Kotter said. The department remains fully staffed on the full-time side and continues to seek additional part-time EMTs and paramedics.
