RED OAK, Iowa — The Red Oak Police Department reported two arrests on Sunday, May 24.
According to Red Oak Police, officers arrested 37-year-old Jason Rolf Ahrens at approximately 1:36 p.m. in the 100 block of East Prospect Street. Ahrens was arrested for domestic abuse assault, a simple misdemeanor. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and was being held without bond at the time of the release of this information.
In a separate arrest, Red Oak Police arrested 46-year-old Lorianna Brantley of Des Moines at approximately 2:57 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Prospect Street. Brantley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Police also reported Brantley was wanted on an active theft warrant out of Polk County.
Brantley was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and was being held pending extradition to Polk County.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty
