The Red Oak Rotary Club is preparing for one of its biggest annual events.
Emily Martin joined KCSI to talk about the Rotary Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 4 at 9 a.m. The event draws several hundred children each year and features thousands of eggs spread throughout the park.
Martin says families should plan to arrive early because the egg hunt moves fast and is often finished within minutes.
Community members can help support the event by donating stuffed eggs, candy, or monetary donations to help fill eggs for the hunt. Donations can be coordinated through the Red Oak Rotary Facebook page or by contacting a Rotarian.
Martin also reminded graduating seniors that Rotary scholarship applications are due April 1. Students can get application information from their school guidance counselor.
The Rotary Club currently has 32 members and organizes several community service events throughout the year including highway cleanups, holiday food baskets, National Night Out, Junction Days activities, and more.
