The Red Oak Rotary Club is introducing a brand-new community event this summer, bringing live music, food, and family-friendly fun to Fountain Square.
Rotary President Carrie Shalters announced the club will host a Summer Concert Series on the second Thursday of June, July, and August, running from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
The concerts will take place on the square’s stage, with seating facing the park to create a relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, while enjoying food trucks and beverages available on-site.
The lineup for the inaugural series includes:
  • June 11: Happy Endings (Omaha-based cover band featuring 80s music)
  • July 9: Into the Gray
  • August 13: Touch of Gray

Admission to the concerts will be free, with attendees only paying for food and drinks if they choose.
The idea for the series came through collaboration between Rotary and the City of Red Oak, supported by a $2,500 matching grant from the Hotel/Motel Committee.
In addition to the concert series, Rotary recently hosted its annual Easter egg hunt on the square, drawing strong participation from local families and volunteers. The club is now preparing for several upcoming initiatives, including:
  • Highway cleanup on May 2 at 8:30 a.m. (meeting at Cubby’s)
  • Junction Days Pancake Man breakfast (7:00–9:30 a.m., $7 per person)
  • Ongoing community programs and scholarships
The Red Oak Rotary Club, which has served the community for decades, continues to focus on service projects, local events, and partnerships that enhance quality of life in the area.
