Vision Shenandoah’s Dr. Margaret Brady is inviting area communities to a roundtable discussion aimed at answering one question many small towns are facing: how do you build a new entry-level house for $200,000 or less?
The roundtable is set for Wednesday, February 25 at 2:00 PM at The Mill in Shenandoah. Brady says the goal is to bring experts and local leaders together to talk through realistic options—everything from smaller home designs and storage solutions, to modular housing models, to workforce housing tax credits that could help make projects pencil out.
Brady emphasized this isn’t just a Shenandoah issue—she’s encouraging Lakin-area communities and other small towns to send a representative to the discussion and help shape a path forward that could be replicated.
Anyone wanting details or an agenda can contact Dr. Brady at (712) 246-9126.
