A new downtown Stanton business is combining the love of reading with one of the fastest-growing drink trends
Books & Bubbles, located at 324 Broad Avenue in Stanton, opened in March and is owned by Lindsay Valdez, Taylor Valdez, and Adriana Valdez. The shop offers a selection of books along with dirty sodas, giving customers a place to browse, relax, and enjoy something different.
Lindsay said the store’s book selection started with titles she enjoyed, along with feedback from a community survey. Since then, she has expanded the selection by watching trends, including popular books on TikTok and books tied to upcoming movies.
Books & Bubbles will also take part in the Bookstore Tour of Iowa beginning July 1. Lindsay said 62 bookstores are involved in the tour, which will include pamphlets, bingo, and a murder mystery activity available at the store.
