The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors met this week with a full agenda that included a budget amendment, discussion of proposed changes to Veterans Affairs funding, and several administrative approvals.
Supervisors approved a $65,589 amendment to the fiscal year 2025–2026 county budget and heard concerns about a proposed state funding change that could reduce Montgomery County’s Veterans Affairs funding by $7,451.
Other action included approving a contract for courthouse elevator fire alarm monitoring, approving more than $250,000 in claims, and discussing the county’s transition to new administrative software.
Following the supervisors meeting, the Montgomery County Conference Board approved the proposed 2026–2027 assessor budget and scheduled a public hearing for March 31.
