The Mills County Sheriff’s Office reported 12 arrest records involving 11 people between July 6 and July 16.
On Monday, July 6, at approximately 4:50 p.m., deputies arrested 37-year-old Duane Joseph Dougherty of Corning on Fourth Street in Glenwood. Dougherty was charged with domestic assault causing bodily injury, first offense. His bond was set at $1,000.
On Tuesday, July 7, at approximately 3:56 p.m., deputies arrested 34-year-old Justin Allen Skipton of Council Bluffs on northbound Interstate 29 in Council Bluffs. Skipton was charged with driving while his license was suspended. His bond was set at $300.
Later Tuesday, at approximately 11:40 p.m., deputies arrested 37-year-old Troy Jerome Stephens of Omaha, Nebraska, near the northbound Interstate 29 ramp at Bunge Avenue in Council Bluffs. Stephens was arrested on an out-of-county or out-of-state warrant and was held on $1,000 bond.
Stephens was arrested again at approximately 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, on Industrial Road in Glenwood. He was charged with possession of contraband in a correctional facility. His bond on that charge was set at $5,000.
Also Wednesday, at approximately 11:22 a.m., deputies arrested 37-year-old Nicholas Matthew Malone of Omaha on U.S. Highway 34 in Glenwood. Malone was charged with eluding while traveling at least 25 mph over the speed limit. His bond was set at $5,000.
On Thursday, July 9, at approximately 4:35 p.m., deputies arrested 32-year-old Bragun Michael Michaelsen of Pacific Junction on Keys Avenue in Malvern. Michaelsen was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree theft involving less than $300 and fourth-degree criminal mischief involving damage between $300 and $750. The listed bonds totaled $6,300.
On Saturday, July 11, at approximately 1:43 p.m., deputies arrested 35-year-old Kevin Bradley Mendicino of Council Bluffs on Sharp Street in Glenwood. Mendicino was charged with failure to appear on a citation. No bond amount was listed in the arrest log.
Later Saturday, at approximately 6:43 p.m., deputies arrested 36-year-old Dontavious Rashad Easley of Portland, Oregon, on Sharp Street in Glenwood. Easley faced two aggravated misdemeanor failure-to-appear charges. The listed bonds totaled $3,000.
On Monday, July 13, at approximately 2:03 p.m., deputies arrested 32-year-old Benjamin Loyd Ensley of Glenwood on South 10th Street in Council Bluffs. Ensley was arrested on an out-of-county or out-of-state warrant and was held on $5,000 bond.
Later Monday, at approximately 3:35 p.m., deputies arrested 27-year-old Sarah Jeanette Croson of Council Bluffs on South Hazel Street in Glenwood. Croson was charged with first-degree harassment involving threats. Her bond was set at $2,000.
On Tuesday, July 14, at approximately 8 a.m., deputies arrested 71-year-old Teresa Ann Keller of Glenwood on Sharp Street in Glenwood. Keller was charged with violating a no-contact or protective order and third-degree harassment. The log listed a $600 bond on the protective-order charge and no bond amount on the harassment charge.
On Thursday, July 16, at approximately 5:43 p.m., deputies arrested 41-year-old Tony Hein Doc Nguyen of Navarre, Florida, on southbound Interstate 29 near Bartlett. Nguyen was charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, and operating while intoxicated, second offense. The listed bonds totaled $3,000.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
