According to a Red Oak Police Department accident report, the crash occurred on February 27, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Coolbaugh Street near Eastern Avenue.

Police report that a 16-year-old male from Red Oak was driving a 2009 Ford F-150 southbound when the vehicle left the roadway, traveled up a driveway, and struck a legally parked 2025 GMC Sierra 1500. The Ford then continued forward and struck the front porch of a residence before overturning onto its driver’s side.

The residence struck is owned by James Glenn Jones and is located in the 1500 block of East Coolbaugh Street. Damage to the front porch of the home was estimated at $10,000.

The parked 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 sustained functional damage. The GMC is owned by Josh James Glenn. Estimated damage to the GMC was approximately $15,000.

The 2009 Ford F-150 driven by the 16-year-old sustained disabling damage. Estimated damage to the Ford was approximately $12,000. The Ford is registered to a Red Oak resident.

The report lists contributing circumstances as exceeding authorized speed and careless, reckless, or negligent operation.

The 16-year-old driver was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, First Offense. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to a reasonable and proper speed, failure to provide proof of financial liability (accident card), and violation of instruction permit limitations.
