Montgomery County deputies arrest Hawarden man on driving, drug charges
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Iowa — Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Renato Rubin of Hawarden, Iowa, at approximately 10:30 hours on April 20, 2026. Rubin was charged with driving while barred and possession of a controlled substance, second offense.
According to the press release, Rubin was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was being held on $2,000 bond.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was the agency involved in the arrest. As with all criminal cases, the charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court
