Creston police arrest Orient man on intoxication and paraphernalia charges

The Creston Police Department reports that on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 7:52 p.m., officers arrested Nicholas Arthur Hardisty, 46, of 208 E. 2nd St. in Orient. The arrest occurred near the intersection of Division Street and Prairie Street in Creston.

Hardisty was charged with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Union County Jail. Bond was set at $600 cash or surety.

No further details on what led up to the arrest were included in the release.
