Dammann Farms and American Farm Boys will welcome customers, neighbors and community members to their annual field day Monday, Aug. 3.
The event will be held at the Dammann Farms location at 1395 Lumber Avenue, west of Bethesda and east of Essex.
Activities will begin informally at approximately 6 p.m. A meal will be served at 7 p.m., followed by live music from 7 to 10 p.m. featuring Austin and Denise Ashroll with Brooke Turner.
Justin Dammann said the field day is open to everyone, and no invitation or previous connection to the business is required.
Dammann said some people hesitate to attend because they do not expect to purchase equipment, but sales are not the primary purpose of the evening. The event is intended to bring together customers, friends, neighbors and anyone interested in agriculture or farm equipment.
Visitors will have an opportunity to see equipment demonstrations and learn about several of the company’s product lines.
A newer agricultural drone is expected to be displayed during the event. Dammann said representatives are expected to bring a T-100 drone, demonstrating how quickly agricultural drone technology is increasing in size, speed and capacity.
Equipment from CL Fabrication of Clarinda will also be featured. Dammann Farms recently became a local dealer for the company, which manufactures tree pullers, rock levelers, head trailers and numerous other attachments.
The field day will also include demonstrations and displays involving grain-bagging equipment and other short-line agricultural products carried by Dammann Farms and American Farm Boys.
Hay equipment will not be demonstrated this year. Dammann said the company changes the event from year to year to give returning visitors something different to see.
Food, drinks and shaded areas will be available.
The annual gathering typically attracts at least 250 people, with attendance surpassing 300 during some years.
Dammann said the company appreciates the people who take time to attend on a Monday evening and enjoy the equipment, food, music and fellowship.
Additional information is available through Dammann Farms or at DammannFarms.com.
