Mills County Sheriff’s Office Releases Weekly Arrest Report
GLENWOOD, Iowa — The Mills County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly arrest report covering April 6 through April 12, 2026, detailing multiple arrests across the county involving theft, operating while intoxicated, and probation-related offenses.
According to the report, Labrea Siemone Milton, 44, of Glenwood, was arrested on April 8 at 1:08 p.m. in the S. Locust Street area of Glenwood by the Mills County Sheriff’s Office. Milton was charged with two counts of third-degree theft, involving amounts greater than $750 but less than $1,500. Bond was set at $2,000 on one charge, while the second charge showed no bond amount listed.
Also on April 8, at 1:17 p.m., Perry Bruce Jefferson, 55, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested in the same S. Locust Street area of Glenwood. Jefferson faces two counts of third-degree theft, each carrying a $2,000 bond.
Later that evening, at 7:28 p.m., Jerry Dean Steinspring Sr., 63, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested near Highway 34 in Malvern. He was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense, and was held on a $1,000 bond.
On April 9 at 8:30 p.m., Gabino Gabriel Barrera, 51, of Hastings, Iowa, was arrested on Sharp Street in Glenwood. Barrera was charged with contempt—resisting a court order, with no bond listed, and violation of probation, with bond set at $2,000.
The final arrest in the report occurred on April 11 at 11:50 p.m., when Eric Thomas Curtis, 43, of LaVista, Nebraska, was taken into custody along Interstate 29 near Pacific Junction. Curtis was charged with operating while intoxicated, third offense, and held on a $5,000 bond.
In total, six arrests were reported during the time period. Authorities remind the public that all charges are accusations and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
