An informational item covered follow-up from a state auditor entrance conference regarding the Treasurer’s office (Jackie Porter). Issues identified included undeposited receipts (already addressed), journal entries related to the new software system, bank accounts for property tax deposits, possible consolidation of department bank accounts, and bank reconciliations. Chair Schmid said she will meet weekly with the Treasurer on progress and that another county auditor is mentoring; the goal is to resolve the items within the next month. No formal action was taken.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. (moved from the usual Tuesday because of the election). No specific agenda items were set yet.
