Closed Sunday. Early voting has been busy — nearly 1,000 ballots already cast.

Election Day — Tuesday, November 3

• Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• All polling locations remain the same as previous elections.

• If you still have an absentee ballot that was not mailed, bring it to the courthouse by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and it will be counted.

What to Bring

• Already registered: Driver’s license or other valid photo ID (passport, etc.).

• Registering on Election Day or updating address: Photo ID plus proof of residency (utility bill, bank statement, pay stub, insurance card, etc. — paper or digital is acceptable).

• Attester change this year: Pre-registered voters can no longer use an attester if they lack ID or proof of residency. Only voters who are not already pre-registered in Montgomery County may use an attester.

How to Find Your Polling Place, Sample Ballot, or Registration Status

• Montgomery County Auditor’s website — precinct maps and sample ballots available.

• Iowa Secretary of State’s “Where Do I Vote” tool — enter your address to find your polling location and check registration status.

• Call the Auditor’s office — staff will help if you prefer not to use online tools.

Additional Information

• Curbside voting is available at the Auditor’s office and at polling places for those who have difficulty getting out of the car.

• Every polling location has Freedom Vote Tabulator (FVT) machines for visual impairment or anyone who needs the ballot read aloud.

• Poll workers are staffed but running tight this year. Please thank them — it is a long day.

Go vote. Your participation matters.
