Montgomery County Farm Bureau Plans Fair Activities, Member Appreciation and Agricultural Education
The Montgomery County Farm Bureau will combine member appreciation, family activities and agricultural education during the 2026 Montgomery County Fair.
Montgomery County Farm Bureau Secretary Eva Coughlin said Farm Bureau Day at the fair will be held Thursday, July 16. Activities will begin with breakfast for exhibitors and their parents from 7 to 9 a.m. in the old beef barn.
Farm Bureau volunteers will serve breakfast burritos to recognize the young people participating in the fair, as well as the parents and family members who help them prepare their animals, projects and exhibits.
Later in the day, Farm Bureau representatives will operate an informational tent at the fairgrounds. Visitors can learn more about the organization, its membership programs and its work supporting agriculture and rural communities.
Everyone who visits the tent and speaks with Farm Bureau representatives will receive a complimentary gift. Coughlin described the item as something she did not know existed but now considers especially useful.
Several activities will also be available for children and families. Those activities will include agricultural trivia, a prize wheel, animal puzzles and other agriculture-related learning opportunities.
Families may also enter a drawing for a Life on the Farm board game.
