Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Reports Two Red Oak Arrests

RED OAK, Iowa — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports two separate arrests in Red Oak on April 27 and April 28.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 1:35 p.m., deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Dakota Lynn Girouex of Red Oak. Girouex was arrested on a Montgomery County warrant for trafficking in stolen weapons, burglary in the 3rd degree — motor vehicle, and theft in the 4th degree. Girouex was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and held on $5,000 bond.

In a separate incident, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at approximately 12:18 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at 2nd Street and Market Street in Red Oak. Upon investigation, deputies arrested 38-year-old Jeffrey Allen Martin of Red Oak for possession of methamphetamine, 2nd offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. Martin was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was held on $2,000 bond.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office handled both arrests. A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
