Montgomery County Supervisors Address EMS Planning, Road Projects, and Property Transfer

 The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting Tuesday morning, beginning with a ribbon cutting for the courthouse elevator project before moving into a full agenda of county business.  Chairperson Charla Schmidt said the newly upgraded elevator is now fully operational after several months of work, improving accessibility in the courthouse.

 

  • Courthouse elevator project completed and operational
  • Public comments focused on EMS concerns
  • EMS discussion ongoing; committee formation is next step
  • Secondary Roads update included:
    • Rock hauling
    • Shoulder work (Wales area)
    • Bridge projects and maintenance
  • FY2027 IDOT budget approved
  • 5-year construction plan approved
  • Recorder’s software agreement approved ($7,310.24)
  • Bible Reading Marathon approved for July 7
  • Tax certificate transferred to City of Red Oak
  • Resolution 2026-24 passed unanimously
  • Next meeting: May 5 (closed session planned)
