Red Oak City Council met Monday night and Mayor Tim Fridolph shared highlights from the meeting.

Key items included a 2025 cemetery report (24 full burials, 33 cremation services, 30 grave spaces sold, and approximately $43,900 in revenue),
approval of Mike O’Neill (Montgomery County Memorial Hospital CEO-elect) to the Airport Commission,
and a retirement agreement for longtime city employee Chris Baird after 26 years of service.
The council approved hiring a temporary employee for the street and utility departments as the city addresses staffing gaps, and also approved a contract with Neapolitan Labs for a City of Red Oak website redesign. The project is expected to take about 5–6 months, with a contract total of $12,000 (including annual hosting/support).
Reminders: Dog and cat licenses are due March 31.
The February 16 council meeting will be moved to February 17 due to Presidents Day.
Special FY27 budget meetings are tentatively planned for February 9 and February 23 and will be posted and open to the public.
