The Red Oak High School Vocal Music Department had a great day on Saturday, April 11 at our Solo/Ensemble District Music Contests at Clarinda High School.
Red Oak had 26 students who participated in 17 different events. 14 of the events received a I-Superior rating, and 3 events received a II-Excellent rating. 4 of the groups got perfect scores on their ballots, and our mixed quartet received the Outstanding Musicians/Best In Center Award. Our Red Oak singers worked hard in preparation for the contest and represented Red Oak in an excellent and professional way. Students are under the direction of Tim and Terra Marsden, vocal music directors.
