Stanton High School students are preparing for prom this Saturday, April 25, with a new look and location for one of the evening’s biggest traditions.
This year’s walk-in will take place near The Ole instead of Main Street, a change designed to simplify logistics and improve the experience for participants and spectators.
Festivities begin with photos at a local studio from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
The grand march starts at 6:30 p.m., with coronation of the king and queen scheduled for 6:50 p.m.
Dinner will follow at 7:00 p.m., with the dance running from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m.
After-prom activities will be held at the school from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., featuring games, food, and entertainment including glow-in-the-dark laser tag and a hypnotist.
In case of inclement weather, the walk-in will be moved to the high school gym.
