Villisca Juvenile Cited for Theft Following Investigation

VILLISCA, Iowa — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports that a juvenile male was cited following a theft investigation in Villisca.

According to authorities, on April 23, 2026, deputies were called to the 500 block of East 5TH Street in Villisca for a report of a theft from a vehicle. After conducting a brief investigation, a 15-year-old male was charged with Theft in the 3rd Degree, an aggravated misdemeanor.

The juvenile was cited into court and released to a parent. The name of the juvenile was not released due to age.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation.
