The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests following separate traffic stops on April 10 and April 12

Montgomery County, Iowa — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests following separate traffic stops on April 10 and April 12.

According to the report, on April 10, 2026, at approximately 9:26 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near Highway 34 and Evergreen Avenue. Following an investigation, 27-year-old Candelaria Lopez-Castaneda of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 1st Offense. Lopez-Castaneda was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where she was held on $1,000 bond.

A second arrest occurred on April 12, 2026, at approximately 10:25 p.m., when deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Highway 34. Authorities arrested 71-year-old Robert Allen Blank of Villisca on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Blank was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was held on $300 bond.
