Griswold Elementary Principal Nigel Horton joined KCSI for a morning conversation with three special guests: his daughters CeCe, Scout, and Piper. The interview included a lighthearted Mother’s Day conversation, updates from the Horton girls about school, sports, track meets, and summer plans, and a rundown of several important Griswold Community School District events as the school year winds down.

 

 

  • Fifth-grade step-up day: Half participated Tuesday; the other half scheduled for Tuesday, May 12
  • Preschool-to-kindergarten step-up day: Monday, May 11, afternoon
  • Preschool registration: Still open; children must turn four on or before September 15 to qualify for free four-year-old preschool
  • Senior signing day: Held Monday; second year for the event
  • High school guidance counselor: Amy Akers helped develop senior signing day
  • Fifth-grade state capitol trip: Friday, May 8
  • K-4 field trip: Friday, May 15
  • Fifth-grade service project: Friday, May 15
  • High school spring concert: Tuesday, May 12
  • Last Tiger Time activity: Tuesday, May 12
  • Senior breakfast and senior walk-through: Thursday, May 14
  • Graduation rehearsal: Thursday, May 14
  • Graduation: Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m.
  • Varsity softball scrimmage: Saturday, May 16, home vs. Atlantic, 5:30 p.m.
