Three individuals were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend by the Red Oak Police Department

RED OAK, Iowa — Three individuals were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend by the Red Oak Police Department, including a felony drug arrest in the 1200 block of Broadway.

According to a press release, officers arrested Jason Rolfe Ahrens on March 22, 2026, in the 1200 block of Broadway. Ahrens was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (less than 5 grams), a Class C felony, and Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used, a Class D felony. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and held on $10,000 bond. Arrest records indicate Ahrens was taken into custody at approximately 7:47 p.m.

In a separate incident, officers arrested 37-year-old Cody Linn Hudson on March 23, 2026, at approximately 1:55 a.m. Hudson was taken into custody at 109 E. Market Street and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, a simple misdemeanor. Hudson was transported to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center and held without bond.

Earlier that same morning, officers arrested 61-year-old Ruth Kristine Burns on March 23, 2026, at approximately 12:36 a.m. Burns was arrested in the 1500 block of N. 8th Street and charged with Disorderly Conduct, a simple misdemeanor. She was transported to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center and held on $300 bond.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Agencies involved include the Red Oak Police Department and the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center
