Tigers Surge in Atlantic; Sebenicher and Gettler Lead the Way

The Tigers showed up in a big way on Thursday, putting together one of their most complete performances of the season in a highly competitive quad meet at Atlantic. Red Oak posted a team score of 195, narrowly edging out host Atlantic (196) and Lewis Central (220), while finishing just six strokes behind a strong Shenandoah squad (189).

Emily Sebenicher continued her stellar campaign, firing a 42 to secure runner-up medalist honors. Hot on her heels was Paisley Gettler, who carded a 45 to set a new personal record. Paisley is finding her rhythm at the most pivotal time of the season. The varsity scorecard was reinforced by consistent efforts from Ellison Johnson (52), Nellie Blaine (55), Mylee Johnson (57), and Jerzey Edie (58).

The success extended to the Junior Varsity ranks, where Adrianna Valdez broke a major milestone by shooting a personal-best 59 to lead the squad. The JV scorecard was rounded out by Ella Blackman (65), Aubrey Bass (66), and a pair of 72s from Josie Sampson and Corrine Hopf. With personal records falling and the team consistently shaving strokes off their total, the Tigers are building momentum into the final stretch of the season. The Tigers will be back on the course Tuesday to play in a very competitive Betty Hefflin 18 hole tournament.
