Two arrested on Red Oak Police Department warrants

RED OAK — The Red Oak Police Department reports two people were arrested on department warrants Friday afternoon, July 31.

At approximately 3 p.m., officers arrested 27-year-old Samantha Patricia Lee Duffield Cunningham on a valid Red Oak Police Department warrant for trespass, first offense.

Cunningham was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and was being held on $1,000 cash-only bond at the time the information was released.

Approximately 20 minutes later, officers arrested 40-year-old Jacob Wayne Dykes Vargas on two valid Red Oak Police Department warrants. Vargas was charged with trespass, first offense, and domestic abuse assault involving the display or use of a weapon, first offense.

Vargas was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and was being held on $6,000 cash-only bond at the time the information was released.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
