Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Reports Two Arrests in Villisca

VILLISCA, Iowa — Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests early Tuesday morning in Villisca following a reported domestic incident.

According to a press release, on March 3, 2026, at approximately 5:29 a.m., deputies arrested 34-year-old Jesse Allen Luft of Villisca on a charge of Domestic Assault, 3rd Offense, a Class D felony.

During the same incident, deputies also arrested Ashley Ann Marie Ashburn of Villisca on a charge of Domestic Simple Assault, a simple misdemeanor.

Both individuals were transported to the Montgomery County Jail where they are currently being held without bond.
