UNION COUNTY, Iowa — A 19-year-old Tingley man died following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Ringgold County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened at 2:44 p.m. on June 4, 2026, at the intersection of 265th Street and Warble Avenue. Authorities say a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Tanner Richardson of Tingley was traveling east on 265th Street when it went through a stop sign at Warbler Avenue. The vehicle then collided head-on with a southbound 2020 Volvo automobile driven by 60-year-old Ricky Stewart of Mount Ayr.

Richardson was transported by Life Flight to Methodist, where he was pronounced deceased. The report indicates he was not wearing a seatbelt. Stewart was listed as uninjured.

The Iowa State Patrol report also lists Browns Dirt Works LLC of Beaconsfield as the carrier associated with the crash report. No hazardous materials were involved.

The crash remains listed as a fatality investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Trooper Burkhalter investigated the crash, with assistance from other responding troopers.
