CASS COUNTY, Iowa — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has released its latest arrest report, covering activity from May 29 through June 12, 2026, as of 3:15 p.m.
All criminal charges are merely accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
On May 31, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Sores Soram of Atlantic on a charge of driving while barred. Soram was taken to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and later released on his own recognizance.
On June 4, deputies arrested 18-year-old Shane Robert Seagler of Atlantic on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated. Seagler was taken to the Cass County Jail, booked, and released on his own recognizance.
On June 5, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Aaron Lee Latus of Massena on a Cass County warrant for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense. During the arrest, Latus was also charged with two additional counts of possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, and possession of a firearm, offensive weapon, or ammunition by a felon. Latus was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and released on his own recognizance.
On June 10, deputies arrested 40-year-old Jeremy Allan Crecelius of Wiota on charges of disorderly conduct — fight or violence — and interference with official acts. Crecelius was taken to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked and held.
