MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Iowa — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests Sunday, June 15, involving active Cass County warrants.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested 41-year-old Randon Duane Phelps of Red Oak at approximately 6:34 p.m. in the 1200 block of Senate Avenue in Red Oak. Phelps was arrested on an active Cass County warrant for failure to appear. The original charge was possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, second offense.
Phelps was taken into custody and turned over to Cass County deputies. He was being held in the Cass County Jail on $2,000 bond.
Later that evening, at approximately 9:57 p.m., Montgomery County deputies arrested 31-year-old Christian Monreal Sempek of Elliott in the 300 block of 5th Street in Elliott.
Sempek was arrested on an active Cass County warrant for violation of probation. He was also taken into custody and turned over to Cass County deputies. Semptek was being held in the Cass County Jail on $1,000 bond.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
