The Red Oak City Council has approved the promotion of McKenna Sampson to Deputy Clerk–Human Resource Generalist.
The council approved Resolution 2026-62 during its regular meeting Monday, July 6. Sampson had been serving as a Customer Service Representative for the city.

City Administrator Lisa Kotter also noted that Sampson brought previous human resources experience to the position.
Mayor Tim Fridolph said Sampson has done a good job for the city and called the promotion exciting.
Under the resolution, Sampson will move to a salaried position effective with the July 17, 2026, payroll. Her annual salary will be $47,008. Following a satisfactory six-month performance review by the city administrator in January 2027, her salary will increase by $2,000 to $49,008.
