Montgomery County Development Corporation Executive Director Ben Lundgren says summer has been a busy season across the county, with community events, business visits, and continued work to connect local businesses with resources for growth
MCDC continues to operate from the chamber building on the north side of the Red Oak square. Lundgren said he is generally available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though he is also often out in the community meeting with businesses and local leaders. He said people can reach him by phone at 712-621-8900.
Lundgren also encouraged individuals and businesses to consider supporting MCDC through membership. He said the organization is supported by the county, local cities, businesses, and individual members. Membership can also provide opportunities to be more involved, including through committees, action groups, and, depending on the level of membership, board involvement.
Lundgren said MCDC’s work is countywide and is not limited to Red Oak. He said the organization is intended to help connect people across Montgomery County, including communities such as Stanton, Villisca, and others, while helping address needs related to business growth, housing, and overall community development.
