RED OAK, Iowa — A traffic stop Wednesday morning in Red Oak resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old man on drug and driving charges.
According to the Red Oak Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on Ronald Glen Ballinger, 44, at approximately 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 19.
Police say further investigation determined Ballinger was driving with a suspended license. Officers also reportedly observed narcotics in plain view inside the vehicle.
Ballinger was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of driving under suspension and possession of a controlled substance, third offense. Red Oak Police arrest records identify the controlled substance as methamphetamine.
Bond was set at $5,491.25.
All charges are allegations, and Ballinger is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
