Glenwood Police Department reports two arrests

GLENWOOD, Iowa — The Glenwood Police Department reported two arrests between September 2 and September 4, 2026, according to the department’s arrest press log.

Blake Thomas McCann, 29, of Glenwood, was arrested at approximately 10:38 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, on North Grove Street.

McCann was charged with open container-driver 21 years of age or older, operating while intoxicated-first offense, interference with official acts, and carrying a weapon while intoxicated. The press log lists bond amounts of $300 for the open container charge, $1,000 for the OWI charge, $300 for interference with official acts, and $1,000 for carrying a weapon while intoxicated.

Michael Terrance Hutfless, 41, of Glenwood, was arrested at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, on South Chestnut Street.

Hutfless was charged with violation of probation. The arrest press log does not list a bond amount for that charge.

The Glenwood Police Department notes that a criminal charge is merely an accusation and that defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
