The KCSI Live Radio Concert is Sunday, October 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. at The Wilson

“This is a huge fundraiser,” executive director Val Zane said on KCSI Thursday morning. The money puts kids through summer camp at free and reduced prices, covers the musical program for kids and adults, and pays for the special-needs camp, which drew 65 people this summer. It also buys a ticket for someone who wants to be in the room and cannot swing the price.

“We never say no when somebody wants a scholarship or they want a ticket,” Zane said. “There’s so much need for that in southwest Iowa. People can just not afford things, and we want to be able to still have them at The Wilson.”
