Stanton Community School District shared updates on FCCLA, activities, and upcoming events. FCCLA is back in Stanton for the first time in about 10 years, with 25 official members. Students highlighted a major fall service project where the group partnered with the Stanton Chamber of Commerce and PTO, plus support from an Iowa Beef Council grant, to assemble and anonymously deliver 60 lasagnas during the temporary SNAP benefits lapse.
FCCLA State Conference is March 22–24 in Cedar Rapids. Stanton’s next blood drive is Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Viking Center, and the Red Cross is in need of donors.
The district also recognized Students of the Week, reminded families yearbooks are on sale for $65, and previewed the Stanton Dance Team Showcase on March 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Stanton gym
