Today, Rep. Randy Feenstra announced the launch of his “Students for Feenstra” coalition, a group comprised of Iowa students endorsing his campaign to deliver world-class education and ensure young Iowans have great jobs and opportunities after graduation.
The coalition includes students enrolled at Iowa high schools, community colleges, and four-year universities.
“I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Students for Feenstra. Our kids are the future of our great state, and that’s why I’ll always work to support the next generation,” said Feenstra. “As a father of four, I’m running for Governor to deliver world-class education for Iowa students and keep our kids in Iowa with great jobs and opportunities after they graduate. My parents were both teachers, my wife taught kindergarten for 24 years, and I taught business at my alma mater, Dordt University. This is personal to me, and it’s why I’ll work to make Iowa number one again in education.”
“I’m excited to be part of Randy Feenstra’s Students for Feenstra coalition. He understands the importance of making sure that we have world-class education in our state and that there are great jobs for students after we graduate,” said Henry Rose, a student at Iowa State University. “I know that Randy will work to ensure that young adults like me have the support we need to get an exceptional education right here in Iowa. With Randy as Governor, students and recent graduates will have a real advocate at the Iowa Capitol.”
Last week, Feenstra announced his “Farmers for Feenstra” coalition, a group of more than 100 farmers endorsing his campaign to make Iowa the most business- and ag-friendly state in the country.
