Cass County man arrested on drug trafficking and related charges
CASS COUNTY, Iowa — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported an arrest occurring earlier this month involving multiple drug-related charges.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, on April 2, 2026, Thomas Dean Schroder, 63, of Oakland, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, drug trafficking involving 5 grams to 100 grams of methamphetamine, and violation of the drug tax stamp law.
Authorities say Schroder was transported to the Cass County Jail, where he was booked following the arrest. He was later released on bond.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office handled the arrest.
Officials remind the public that all criminal charges are accusations and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
