POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY, Iowa — A Harlan man was killed Wednesday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 880 in Pottawattamie County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, troopers responded at approximately 8:09 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, to a passenger ejection crash on westbound Interstate 880 near the 9.6-mile marker.
Authorities say a 2008 GMC Acadia was traveling west when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed in the north ditch. The driver and only occupant, 31-year-old Dillion Michael Wood of Harlan, was ejected from the vehicle.
Wood sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The report indicates he was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
