Montgomery County Memorial Hospital & Clinics CEO Ron Kloewer joined us to share updates from the Board of Trustees meeting and what’s ahead for MCMH.
Key notes:
  • Leadership transition: Mike O’Neal will assume the CEO role on March 16.
  • MCMH expects about $5 million in Medicaid-directed payments this year after federal approval of Iowa’s plan.
  • A grant request has been submitted for a da Vinci surgical robot, and the hospital expects to learn more soon.
  • The board plans to publish the same hospital levy rate as last year. A public hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. on February 25.
  • MCMH continues strategic work focused on strengthening core services, expanding key specialties, improving patient experience, supporting the workforce, and planning phased facility improvements.
